Murphysboro, IL / April 27, 2018 - Berean Christian Church will be hosting a movie under the stars! The outdoor movie night is scheduled for June 8, 2018. The event will begin at 8:00PM with the movie starting at 8:30PM. The event will take place on the lawn of Berean Christian Church - 1530 Illinois Avenue at the intersection of Illinois and North 16th Streets in Murphysboro. Please bring blankets or lawn chairs.
The movie showing will be The Incredibles, a fun filled adventure suitable for the entire family. There is no admission charged and free popcorn and drinks for the kids. Feel free to bring snacks for the whole family. Everyone is welcome!
This event kicks off a busy June for Berean including their annual Vacation Bible School. VBS will begin June 18, 2018. This year’s theme is Time Lab. Children kindergarten through fifth grade will travel back in time and witness epic events in history. They will meet great heroes of the faith like Abraham, Moses, or Gideon and explore ancient cultures like Rome. They will also learn about great inventors and scientists. Children attending the movie can sign up for VBS and get a schedule before and after the movie. Registration forms are also available at the church office.
Berean Christian Church is very active in the Murphysboro area and is looking forward to hosting the movie under the stars and the annual VBS program. Minister Troy Humphrey feels that the movie night is a great way to connect with the community. Humphrey says, “We really enjoy having events like this. The event is open to everyone and it is just a fun event where we get to see a good movie and enjoy each other’s company. We are really looking forward to the fun.”
In case of rain the event will be held on June 15, 2018 starting at 8:00PM.
