Chili Chili Bang Bang

It's that time of year. There is a nip in the air, leaves drop from their branches, families start planning their holidays and turkey becomes more than just cold cuts. It is also a time when we put away the Halloween candy and come together as a church family for a celebration and lots of fun, food and fellowship.

This year for our annual Thanksgiving celebration, we are shaking it up with a new twist. Instead of the traditional turkey and dressing fare, we are having what we call Chili Chili Bang Bang. Instead of passing the dressing and cranberry sauce, we will be passing bowls of chili and soups, desserts and more.

So, what do you need to do?

1. Save the date! Sunday, November 9, 2014 immediately following the service.

2. Bring an easy dessert you can eat with your fingers like brownies, cookies, Rice Krispie treats or cupcakes.

3. Invite all of your family and friends for Sunday services and the informal Chili Chili Bang Bang following.

Don't worry, all of the most important parts of the gathering will remain the same. There will be plenty of smiling, laughing, hugging, chatting and getting to know each other better. Just like in the early church we will feast and fellowship (Acts 2:42).

See you on Sunday the 9th for Chili Chili Bang Bang!
